Atlas Celeste - The CD-ROM
Description:
This extremely rare star atlas with it's elaborately illustrated plates can be
yours ! The whole atlas has been reproduced and put on to CD-ROM. Not only are
all the charts and plates on the CD-ROM, but there is also a wealth of
information about the atlas, John Bevis, how it was produced and why it was
never published.
Also included on the CD-ROM:
- Article about a pre-discovery observation of Uranus.
- A separate image directory has all the plates in .bmp format.
- A small selection of very high resolution images in .jpg format.
- Information about the Manchester Astronomical Society.
- JHA paper by Kilburn with Pasachoff and Gingerich.
- Tycho's Star.
- Updated list of known atlases Dated May 2006
The CD-ROM works with ALL versions of Windows and the Macintosh. The atlas should also work with Linux and Unix. The pages are viewed using Adobe Acrobat so if your system can run Adobe Acrobat Reader you should be able to view this atlas.
Note: Acrobat Reader is not included on the CD but can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/

A CD-ROM mailed to your address (by air mail if outside UK)
The developer will ship the CD to the shipping address supplied with the order. The CD will be mailed within 48 hours (worst case). Please allow a reasonable timeframe for the item to arrive.
